WEEK 1: Concept Board, Audience Board, Project Proposal

During this class we had to write a 300 word proposal about the concept of our zine and make our Audience/Concept board. The concept of my zine is self development as a young adult. I think many women go through that phase of growing up and being expected to mature early at a young age. Despite having the responsibilities of an adult you still have the mind of a child (especially at this age). My zine pretty much shows that development through the editorials I make. My concept board includes some polaroids I took, some editorials i’ve done in the past and just some general pictures that correlate with the theme. My zine is supposed to have some nostalgic elements and have some very feminine themed shoots. I don’t exactly have a color palette but from the top of my head i’m thinking Blue, Pink and Purple. That I can only finalize after I have finished all my editorials. My Audience Board is more editorials I have done in the past and some other pictures I have found on pinterest. The audience of my zine is supposed to be predominantly young women but honestly I feel like the zine can be relatable to any woman since there will be some nostalgic themes to it.
