WEEK 3: PR Video Task

For this session we had to Make a PR video in groups of 4. I was in a group of 3 since one of our table mate wasn’t in class. We as a group had to make a PR video that’s at least 30 seconds to a minute long. Now I had some experience with editing with Adobe so I felt like this would make the task slightly easier for us. We edited all the sequences using my laptop. We wanted to portray anger into our PR video visually. So we took some aggressive shots such as stepping onto bottles, stomping, tearing. We also used BTS and outcomes from the work we have done outside of class and incorporated that into our PR video. I wanted the video to be messy and static hence why there are so many cuts and background noises. The video is supposed to represent anger, and when i’m angry my head is in multiple places which is why the sequences of the videos pan out to regular BTS shots and then a shot of doing an aggressive act. Overall the task was fun to do, my group was very open to trying new things and presenting new ideas. We all had good group effort and did all the work equally.

Now, for the second session I missed the class. unfortunately I had the stomach flu. I still managed to do a few shoots during this time but I really wasn’t in the right state to go to class. Hence why I did my feedback with carlyn online. She mostly reviewed Myblogs. And to be honest at that stage my blogs were not complete and not presentable. I didn’t have enough development work or that many Zine content. My initial plan was to write a blog about 3 of the editorials I did in one day. But after the feedback I thought it would be more appropriate to make a blog per editorial so I can go more in depth with the experimentation, the concept of the shoot and just show more of the development with each editorial. And that’s how I decided to go with all my other blogs when it came to presenting the Zine work I did outside of class.
