Editorial 2 Evaluation
Editorial #2 is named “Ones Prime” since it’s supposed to show the “Pre teen” age. I feel like in this current generation young girls are pressurised to grow up at such an early age because of social media and Shows sexualising underage girls. Social media insecurities makes these girls not go through their childhood completely since they are pressured to look and act more grown. This editorial is supposed to show that Pre-teen nostalgia that most girls don’t go through anymore. I tried to show this through the styling and makeup. The main color Scheme us obviously blue. The blue themed moodboard is mostly emphasis on the styling and the Fringe skirt i’m styling the main model with is one of the most eye catching things in this whole editorial. I’m planning on using a white bed sheet as the background of the shoot so the garments are more eye catching

I made Shardaye (the model) wear this fringe wrapped skirt, the skirt is fun and shiny. Many young girls must have had some fond memories of wearing a garment that’s fun and that you want to move around in weather its a too-too or a fringe skirt. I also had the makeup artist do the eye makeup as the same color as the skirt. I also had the model covered in glitter glue tattoos as I felt like that’s something nostalgic people can relate too. Here are a few pictures from the editorial.

Now for the editing for the pictures, I initially really liked how the pictures looked unedited. Personally, my favourite forms of photography is flash photography. Which made me a bit conflicted because flash photography isn’t easy to edit. Even having a little too much saturation or contrast could make the image look overdone, which is not what I wanted. The pictures are supposed to look natural and un-posed. But I still experimented with some editing and came up with the following presets for this shoot.

I personally liked edit number 1 as I added blue-ish hues that matches the vibe of the shoot and the garment itself. So most likely my zine will either have the pictures Unedited or the Preset number 1. Here are some test shots we took using the Canon EOS camera.

Here are some final pictures I decided to add for my Zine
