So my first editorial was Fairycore themed. The model is supposed to look doll-like, this is supposed to be the very first editorial presented on my zine. As I mentioned the zine itself is supposed to be a metaphorical journey of childhood and early adulthood stage. Mollie’s (The model) makeup was actually inspired by Brandi Quinones’s makeup look for Lolita Lempicka. The look is supposed to have this sense of innocence and the represent early teenagehood women go through. This editorial is going to be the first editorial of my Zine. it’s supposed to show a time of early childhood. The model is supposed to be dreamy as if ones reminiscing a fond memory or a good dream

Brandi Quinones for Lolita Lempicka

I collaborated with a makeup artist in her second year of BA at London College Of Fashion. Using social media I scouted MUA’s and Models for this shoot and all my future shoots.

Mollie’s Final Makeup

For this editorial I have mostly experimented with the editing of the overall pictures. Here are a few examples of presets I have done so far. I ended picking edit number 3 as I think it looked more natural and not overly saturated, my initial choice was edit number 4 but I felt like the makeup was not visible enough with that preset.

We also did some experimental shots using a Mini digital camera (Nikon S500), just to get some portrait shots of the garment and the makeup. But the final shoot was taken using a Canon EOS.
